Organisational Development


The identification of all existing measures, projects and resources stands at the beginning of a process for the development of a coherent Human Resources and Organisational Development concept regarding Gender and Diversity aspects.

Gender und Diversity Management on RWTH Aachen University. The Integration Team will communicate the current Gender and Diversity profile of RWTH Aachen through a special criteria check list and will improve the coordination of existing activities inside and outside the university. The analysis of the current situation in administrative and academic facilities will be at the same time complemented with single action plans specifically designed for every faculty. Agreements on objectives will complete the process. In this process the Integration Team will support the implementation of these additional measures through process consultation and attendance at the different faculties.

The Integration Team pursues the establishment of a respectable consultation facility for the integration of Gender and Diversity aspects at all levels of the university through close cooperation with the departments of Planning, Development and Controlling and Human Resources as well as with all faculties and administrative facilities.

In cooperation with International Recruiting, RWTH Aachen will address specifically women for a professorship through a proactive appointment strategy. The attraction of high qualified candidates is thereby seen as a continuous process which already starts with the identification of excellent junior scientists.

The establishment of a Dual Career Center for newly appointed scientists and their families is an additional contribution of RWTH Aachen towards a motivating and innovative work environment.
