The Division of Technical Facilities Management - Electrical Systems structurally belongs to the Department of Facility Management within RWTH Aachen Central University Administration. In five areas, our staff makes sure that the numerous electrical systems at the university always work smoothly.

Our staff undertakes the maintenance, repair, correction of defects, and renovation mean voltage networks and stations, standby-sets, batteries, and transformers.
Our team undertakes the maintenance, repair, correction of defects, and renovation of low voltage systems, building installations, lighting systems, barrier systems, and lightning protection systems.
We operate, maintain, repair and plan elevators, elevator emergency systems, book conveyor systems, and power operated gate and door systems.
Fire Alarm Systems/ Transmission Technology
Furthermore, we maintain, repair, modify or expand the fire alarm system, the transmission technology, and the IT and telephony networks. Additionally, our team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and upgrading of the Central Control System for transfering operational and alarm notifications from the various facilities of the building services.
