As a strategic cross-sectional task, gender equality is integrated into university development planning and firmly anchored in overarching concepts and guidelines. These are presented centrally on the RWTH's profile page on gender and diversity.

In addition, the nine faculties provide information on their profile pages about specific offers and measures.

Faculty 1 – Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences

Faculty 3 – Civil Engineering

The faculty is also home to the teaching and research area of Gender and Diversity in Engineering, which contributes to the design of sustainable, innovative and future-oriented research and development by incorporating perspectives of diversity.

In addition, the faculty has established its own Commission for Equal Opportunities, which, among other things, supports measures to promote equal opportunity and diversity for all groups of people.

Two associate deans of the faculty deal with the topic of equal opportunities within the scope of their respective responsibilities.

In addition, the faculty has its own TANDEM mentoring programs and programs to support women on the path to habilitation.
