The Gender and Diversity Knowledge Program is aimed at all university members who would like to further educate themselves personally and in the sense of a good and appreciative cooperation at RWTH on the topics of gender and diversity. The topics and formats can be arranged according to individual or institutional interests and can also be developed according to needs. Feel free to contact us!

16 March 2023: Workshop "Empowering myself for Gender Equality in Organizational Structures” for the IceCube Collaboration
Content
In the Lunch Workshop "Empowering myself for Gender Equality in Organizational Structures" participants will explore some of their own sources of power and get a status quo of their strengths and competencies. The trainers will give an insight into structural measures and programmes towards equity and equal opportunities at RWTH Aachen University.
The participants will use this knowledge to develop some ideas of how they can enforce a better work environment for equal opportunities in their own research context, i.e. individually for themselves and structurally as a group and as an organization.
Target Group
The lunch workshop is a demand-specific offer, that is targeted for Women and Gender minorities in the context of the Conference by the IceCube Collaboration.

The workshop starts with an input on unconscious bias and gender- and diversity-sensitive work and communication culture and an introduction to some basic terms and topics in the field of gender and diversity. Afterwards, starting points and initial ideas for avoiding biases in one's own everyday work will be discussed.
