Brigitte Gilles Prize 2021: Current call for nominations
The Brigitte Gilles Prize has been awarded annually by RWTH since 2008 and is named after the university's first women's representative, Professor Brigitte Gilles. The award is given for projects and measures of an innovative nature that improve the working and studying conditions of women or contribute to increasing the number of female students and scientists.
The award is offered in three categories: RWTH-internal and regional school projects, initiatives to promote interest in STEM subjects among female students, as well as measures to improve the living and working conditions of women at the university and outstanding final theses related to gender equality.
The award in the first two categories is worth 2,500 euros each, while final theses are awarded 500 euros. The award winners will be honored at the "RWTHtransparent" event in January 2024.
The deadline for written nominations is November 30, 2023. The aim of the Brigitte Gilles Award is to promote equality at RWTH and to improve the conditions for women to study, teach and research, as well as to increase the number of female scientists and students at the university.Further information can be found on this RWTH website.
