"Diversity Days": film "Mustang"

In the context of the "Diversity Days" the Filmstudio of RWTH Aachen University presents the film "Mustang" of the turkish and french director Deniz Gamze Ergüven.

After the young Turkish sisters Lale, Nur, Ece, Selma, and Sonay go swimming with their male school peers in the sea, their uncle locks them in their home. Beatings and insults rain down as he and the entire village view this as an absolute scandal. From then on the sisters must learn how to be good housewives so that they can enter an arranged marriage as quickly as possible. But the five sisters do not give in to the pressure and find their own path.
