IGaD Online Theme Evening: Parenthood & Career in Science and Industry
There are no patent remedies for successfully combining career and parenthood, but it is worth taking a look at how individual strategies and partnership-based solutions can be developed.
At the invitation of the TANDEM Mentoring Programs, Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katharina Schmitz, holder of the Chair and Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Systems at RWTH, and Roman Gaida, RWTH graduate and Head of Division EMEA / Member of the European FA Management at Mitsubishi Electric Europe BV will report on their experiences with the topic of parenthood and career.
In addition, Claudia Musso, an employee at the RWTH Family Services Center, will present the most important legal regulations for working parents as well as examples from her consulting practice.
All speakers will be available for discussion afterwards.
The event is part of the IGaD series "University in Transition - Perspectives on Gender and Diversity" and is primarily aimed at students, doctoral candidates and postdocs. Partners of all participants are also welcome.
