One survey for all - the student survey for higher education institutions
On June 21, 2021, the student survey #onesurveyforall will be launched at RWTH Aachen University. For this purpose, two emails will be sent to around one third of all RWTH students at two-week intervals from that date.
From now on, the survey will take place every four years and bundles the studies that have been conducted separately so far:
- the "Social Survey" conducted by the German Student Union and the German Center for Research on Higher Education and Science (DZHW)
- the "Student Survey", which is the responsibility of the AG Hochschulforschung at the University of Konstanz, and
- the survey "beeinträchtigt studieren" (stydying with impairments)
The student survey examines a broad range of topics from the social and economic situation to health impairments of students as well as challenges and general conditions in the course of studies. In addition, career prospects and social values are to be surveyed.
The survey, which is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as well as the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany (KMK) and the German Rectors' Conference (HRK), is the largest study of its kind ever conducted in Germany.
Among other things, the survey serves as a basis for evidence-based quality management and can be used for research purposes. In addition, the results serve to ensure equal opportunity participation in studies for the group of students with chronic illnesses and to take the necessary measures to achieve this.
Further detailed information can be found on the student survey webpage.
