Focus on Gender Pay Gap in Academia: Current "Jahrbuch" published

06/09/2021

The current volume focuses on the gender pay gap in academia. Here, it is usually assumed that performance is measured by objective criteria and thus the gender of the people working in academia has no influence on this performance. The results of the recently published yearbook therefore break two taboos at once: on the one hand, the gender neutrality of science is questioned and, on the other, money is discussed.

In the regularly published "Jahrbuch geschlechterbezogene Hochschulforschung", research results on gender (in)equality at universities in North Rhine-Westphalia are published. The results are based on detailed analyses of higher education statistics from the federal and state level in cross-sectional and longitudinal sections.
