Horizon 2020: SPEAR Proposal evaluated positively
We are happy to announce that our proposal SPEAR – a project promoting gender equality in European research organizations, supported by Horizon 2020, the EU framework programme for research and innovation – has been evaluated positively and is entering into grant negotiations with the European Commission.
SPEAR focuses on institutional changes and capacity building; it aims to ensure sustainability in gender equality practices in academia through a range of measures and outcomes, including ties to other EU-based gender equality projects, networking and community building as well as through the formulation of practicable policy recommendations for different strategic levels.
University of Southern Denmark, SDU, will coordinate this exciting and wide-ranging future collaboration which numbers a total of eleven partners from nine EU-countries. RWTH Aachen University is part of the consortium.
The project is planned to be launched in the beginning of 2019 and run for four years.
