IGaD and Career Center Theme Evening (online): Science Management as a Professional Field

Science management offers multifaceted attractive career opportunities at universities, research institutions, science policy institutions and foundations. It can offer an alternative to the often uncertain careers in science. Nevertheless, this career field is not yet really "tangible" among many young women scientists.

 

Mirjam Müller, personnel developer at the University of Konstanz, science coach and expert in science management, will give a first orientation about the following contents at the event:

-What is science management anyway?

-Fields of activity and possible employers in science management

-Required competencies, tasks and working conditions

Following the theoretical input, Dr. Julia Flöhr, RWTH postdoc and TANDEMplus alumna will offer personal insights into her path to science management.

Both speakers will be available to answer questions during the event.
